Forrest Gump

     For this blog I will explain the answers of each question. The theme of this film is about Forrest's saying that "life is like a box of chocolates you never know what your gonna get". This quote means that life can be unpredictable at times. The reason why I think that this is the theme  of the film is because Forrest lived an incredible life even though he wasn't as smart as the other kids. He went through college, went to Vietnam, met three different presidents, and owned a shrimping boat company throughout his life. now its time for question number two I believe that people remember the film because they find it to be humorous and heart warming especially how Jenny finally realizes that Forrest is the right guy for her and how he did all those memorable things. For question three I want to tell you how Lt. Dan is a dynamic character. The reasons are that he was a man that wanted to die in the Vietnam War because he thought that was his destiny because at least one of his family members were killed in a war. But then he met Forrest who turned him into a changed man over time yes he may have been crippled after he met Forrest but Forrest made him into a better man by walking with him and sharing his shrimping boat business. For question four the other characters don't really change Forrest. He just goes along with whatever he's doing and gets it done while the other characters all change for the better when they get to know Forrest. For question five I imagine that the shoes represent freedom. The reason why I imagine that is because you could run forever in a good pair of shoes and you could spend a lot of time thinking while your running to. For question six Forrest embodies the saying "life is like a box of chocolates you never know what your gonna get" by just living his life. He went  through Vietnam, met three different presidents, and became a millionaire. For question seven there seems to be some irony throughout the movie like how he was there when the colored folks walked into the high school for the first time or how he went to see the president and he was with the all American team and other examples.
